A Rendition of Gustave Corbetts’ “The Artists Studio” (1855) Im seen painting in the middle, with little Brooklyn to my left watching, and my “muse” Bigfoot patting me on the back. To the left, I have painted some of my artistic influences, including Norman Rockwell (top left), Jim Carrey (lying down), Shel Silverstein’s cover of “The Giving Tree”, and Steven Hillenburg, the Creator of SpongeBob! SpongeBob and Carrey are seen listening to some of my favorite records, which have influenced a lot of my art! On the right side of the painting, I have brought in my childhood influences, many stemming from my Oregon upbringing in nature. As well as family members depicted watching over me in spirit in the doorway. Lastly, the green and brown colors in the painting are drawn directly from my eyes, making the space a surrealistic depiction of my mind.
